Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to this our Web site may have. Where is St. Jacob Located? How do I get there?

    St. Jacob is in historic downtown Miamisburg, Ohio, next to the main city building. If you are not familiar with the area, maps and directions are located here. If you are not from the greater Dayton, Ohio area, it might be a long drive, but we’ll be really happy to see you, I promise!

When are St. Jacob’s services?

    Our Sunday worship services include a 10:30 traditional service led by the pipe organ, and a noon service led by guitars. More details are here.

I’ve heard your church does some crazy stuff- juggling, riding unicycles, etc. What’s up with that?

    Yes, we do some unusual things like that. Many members, both youth and adult members, like to try new things and to develop the skills they have been given. Our Pastor, Mike Hout, is a highly skilled juggler and unicyclist, and he helps the rest of us to learn these skills. Some members like to use those skills in our parade unit, which has appeared in a number of parades.

I’ve got a problem with the site- it isn’t working, or there is something wrong on the site. How do I communicate with someone about it?

    First, realize that there can be any number of things wrong when a web site is unavailable or doesn’t seem to be working correctly. If it isn’t something that is highly important, we suggest that you wait a while and try again. The team that runs and supports this site is probably already working on fixing the problem, and will resolve it as soon as possible. If the problem persists for a day or more, you can email the webmaster. Please include as much detail as possible about the problem. Information like the web browser version you are using (Click on your “Help” menu - there will usually be an “about” choice that tells you this info), the specific page you were on, and any steps we will need to do to recreate the problem are helpful. We will try to fix the problem as soon as possible.

Actually, the site is working great, but I have an idea of how it could be even better. How do I make a suggestion?

    We would be glad to consider your ideas- go ahead and send them to the webmaster, and our web site team will consider them. If they are consistent with our site, are generally useful, and would be achievable, we will probably implement them. Thanks!
